This semester is a time of newness for our seminary communities, with students and faculty joining us for the first time, and especially as Bethany Theological Seminary welcomes a new Academic Dean.

Tomorrow, Friday, October 30, at 11:20 during joint chapel, Dr. Steven Schweitzer will be anointed and installed as the Academic Dean of Bethany Theological Seminary.

Today's worship will be unprogrammed. All are invited!

Peterson Toscano will attend ESR worship and, if led by the Spirit, share a message out of the silence.

Peterson Toscano is a Friend who lives in Washington, D.C. He is visiting the Earlham campus Tuesday and Wednesday. He is a theatrical performance artist and will be performing in Goddard on Wednesday night.

You are invited to experience Testimonies of Transformation--four poetic/dramatic readings from the gospels of people whose lives have been deeply touched and changed by Jesus.

Joint Worship for Friday October 16, will contain songs, readings and prayers from the Iona Community, a dispersed Christian ecumenical community working for peace and social justice, rebuilding of community and the renewal of worship. (Visit http://iona.org.uk/ for more info on the community.)

We will gather in Bethany's Nicarry Chapel at 11:20 am to sing and pray for the coming of the Spirit to set all God's people free.

Join us for ESR programmed worship this week to meet a little known saint of the Church.

The joint seminary worship service is in Quigg, and it will focus on prayer for the people in Iran. Patty Willis will read some selections from Rumi. Steve Angell will reflect on his experiences as "A Quaker in Iran."

Thursday's Programmed Worship will be the sharing of people's favorite poems or poems that really speak to them.

Join the Bethany community for worship Wednesday, September 30, as Amy Gall Ritchie, Director of Student Development, continues the Fall Faculty Preaching Series, "Fertile Ground," as she preaches about "Trust Beyond Ourselves (Exodus 16:1-36)." Lindsey Frye will lead worship.

Meeting for Worship with Attention to Spiritual Healing will be held in the Moriuchi Room. from noon to 12:45 on Wednesday. November 18. Participants are encouraged to attend 11:20 Worship in Quigg or Nicarry and then
worshipfully move to the Moriuchi room. However, the room is available at 11:30 so you can center in the room if you wish.

Meeting for Worship with Attention to Spiritual Healing will be held in the Moriuchi Room. from 11:20 to 12:10 on Tuesday. October 20.(JOINT common meal is Wednessday so we have healing on the "other" day of joint common meal.Patty Willis will be leading the worship.
