Come hear Ben Pressley defend his M.A. Thesis. The topic is "Towards a Quaker Moral Theology: The Testimonies and Virtue Ethics." Robert Barclay Conference Room.

On April 16-18, 2010, ESR will welcome well-known author and speaker John Dominic Crossan to campus. A religious scholar widely known for co-founding the Jesus Seminar, as well as a former Catholic priest, Crossan is a major figure in the fields of biblical archaeology and anthropology, among others. He has also appeared in television documentaries about Jesus and the Bible.

ESR Hosts 2010 Willson Lectures featuring Tom Hamm, April 5-6. Tom will speak on the topic "The Road to ESR" in three lectures - April 5th at 7 pm, and April 6th at 10 am and 12 pm, in the ESR Center Gathering Area. Lectures are free and open to the public. On Sunday March 7th at 4:30 pm SMB is sponsoring a gathering to deepen the ESR community. This will be a time of worship to share and listen to others' joys, concerns and hopes for the ESR community.

Everyone is invited - we hope that this will be a space for students, faculty and staff to listen and share with each other.

All ESR students and faculty are invited to a Pastoral Care Open Discussion/Threshing Meeting on Tuesday, February 23 at 5:00 pm in the ESR Dining Room. Please come and offer your ideas, solutions, input with regards to our Pastoral Care as an abundant, spiritual community.

This silent retreat is for those who want to get away to connect with the self and with the divine. Take the opportunity to journey within, find the places that need refreshed and renewed and restore peace to your soul with the assistance of a reflective, quiet setting.

Take a break from studying, every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. and come over to the ESR Dining Room and watch French Chef episodes, starring Julia Child. Due to personal conflicts, this event will not be held on 2/17 or 3/24. It will also not be held on 2/24, when dinner with Betsy Meyer will occur. March dates are: 3/3 and 3/10.

Connecting Art and Spirit, a workshop with mixed-media artist Rosie Huart.

ESR will be hosting Elizabeth "Betsy" Meyer as Friend in Residence the week of February 21st, 2010.

Betsy will be the speaker for ESR's Common Meal on February Tuesday, 23rd. She will share some of her spiritual journey; how God has worked in her life to form her through daily living. She also will tell us the stories of when she heard the voice of the Devil and when she saw the face of God.
