This Week In Common

This semester is a time of newness for our seminary communities, with students and faculty joining us for the first time, and especially as Bethany Theological Seminary welcomes a new Academic Dean.

Tomorrow, Friday, October 30, at 11:20 during joint chapel, Dr. Steven Schweitzer will be anointed and installed as the Academic Dean of Bethany Theological Seminary.

Two former pastors of Steve's will participate in the service. Jim Olson, senior pastor of the Bethel Christian Fellowship in St. Paul and Minneapolis, MN, will preach on "Anointed Ministry." David Hendricks, pastor of the Prince of Peace Church of the Brethren in South Bend, IN, will conduct the anointing service. Members of the Bethany community, the Earlham School of Religion, and friends from related institutions will offer blessings prior to the anointing.
